JOCKEY SILKS

REIMAGINED

Brightly colored jockey silks made their first recorded appearance in early horse racing events in Italy during the Middle Ages; riders chose brightly colored outfits to distinguish themselves from their competitors.

Traditionally, the jacket isn’t form fitting.  Today however, these materials can be designed to form fit the body, adding an aerodynamic advantage. In horse-racing, anything that can help gain a lead is a plus.

CONSIDER TAKING YOUR SILKS TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Patrons are often unsure where to place their bets and may just pick the horse with the most eye-catching silks!

Jonathan Kalman, owner of One in Vermillion hired me to design a logo for his race horse.  After completion we turned that design into his jockey's new silks.  Not only is this design beyond beautiful and eye-catching, but it fits his jockey like a glove!
